Oracle Cards for 2024 and for the month of January

We have two cards to contemplate today. Both are from The Sacred Circle Tarot, a Celtic Pagan Journey by Anna Franklin, illustrated by Paul Mason. One is for the entire year that begins today, and the other for January.

Labyrinths

This week it was warm enough and dry enough for me to walk my favorite local labyrinth. It sits high on a hill overlooking Canandaigua Lake which brings joy as well as serenity to my visit. This labyrinth is made of well-groomed grass. I get the added pleasure of seeing clover blossoms with the occasional bee buzzing around as I walk it (in shoes and socks). The only place I like better is a labyrinth along a white sandy beach where I can walk barefoot.

Tarot Reading for May

Not only have we been given this card at the beginning of spring, the season of new beginnings, but our world is in a new place in so many ways, a place with new possibilities but also new dangers. The Major Arcana lays out the guides and experiences of Life’s Journey. This one does so using Welsh mythology and ancient wisdom.

Answering The Call

I chose Denise Linn’s Sacred Traveler Oracle Cards for December’s card draw because I assume many of you, like myself, are itchy to travel again. Of course, it is 2020. The Universe did not give me the kind of message I expected. Instead, we were given a challenge: Answering the Call.

Journeys and Journaling

My journey to Ireland this spring was cancelled. It was not until a couple of weeks into our stay-at-home status, that I realized I was on an inner journey, just as rich and meaningful as I had hoped to have visiting my beloved stone circles. While I was home alone, I was not alone in having an experience of inner exploration. After zooming and teleconferencing and webinar chat room sharing, I realized that I needed to be journaling this journey just as I would a trip to Ireland. So many observations, insights and ahas!
